We have seen the many, many shows centered around prostitution, call girls a.k.a ( expensive prostitutes), hookers, women who turn tricks, porn. In many movies this is made to look like a luxurious life like Pretty Women but, the reality behind it is alarming. I have researched this topic a lot and, wanted to understand why mostly men turn toward paying a prostitute for sexual favors. Many men seem to just not have the time for a relationship others, have fetishes that most women will not accommodate and, the number one is that most men want to be heard. I've watched a lot of documentaries and, read quite a bit about this topic to see why this is appealing to every side. Call Girl- Seem to enjoy having sex, the power and, of course the money. What gets most of them in trouble are the drugs. I watched a series on women who have pimps which is ironically mentioned in Pretty Women. What we don't usually see is how the women are treated from my research being a callgirl or girlfriend is a bit different and, has perks such as, reoccurring clients, better salary, a say in what is happening and, the ability to have a bit more stability. Women who have pimps are beaten if they don't speak correctly, if the pimp is having a bad day and, if they didn't get the right amount of money from their client. I am not an expert on this topic but, I wanted to talk about it and, see why this is necessary in life. I do not understand the abusive side that doesn't make sense and, I can't see why anyone would want to hurt another person. I do however have a better understanding of why men decide to pay a call girl etc.. She is essentially the perfect women she is available any hour of the day, will do almost anything and, she listens without out having an outward opinion. Yes this is degrading but, as I said I'm looking at each prospective. The whole being paid to be a girlfriend I find intriguing because most of these men would be able to get a girlfriend they are usually well-off business men. It seems they just don't want to be bothered or don't have the time to actually have a girlfriend. It is a bit sad to me because this women is being paid to not have any opinions of her own which I imagine can get old quick. All this was brought on by a few Netflix documentaries I watched within the past couple of months. Some say that the porn industry is kind of the gateway to sex trafficking and, others would disagree. I have seen a lot of the links relating the two but, I have also, seen documentaries or read where girls think they are being brought to a better country only to be lead into the life of trafficking. This is even more frighting because a good percentage do not escape and, rules in other countries are not the same as the U.S. and, most of the girls are illegally in the country. It is sad and alarming because there is only so much we can do... The documentary After Porn Ends I found quite interesting. Women and Men in the pornographic industry are paid and, chose to come into this industry. While watching I saw a pattern with the women where there family life wasn't great and, they needed money so, they went into the industry. After being out all of the women didn't see their career as an accomplishment only something they had to do to get to where they are now. Each women was scared from their jobs while, the men claimed it was the best time of their life. I'm wondering why the men do not have traumatic scaring from this but, the women all did. Of course women an men have different ways of thinking but, why does it affect women in such a different way? And why is society as a whole obsessed with anything related to sex or sexual innuendos? I can't answer my first question because I would have to do a bundle of research and, I'm sure there are many people researching this same question. In my conclusion, I see that most people are curious and, even more curious about what other people do. They want to be considered "good" so, the observe and, use what they learn. Sex can never be viewed the same which makes the topic taboo, curious, and seductive. In society it is seen as a hushed topic making the the word "sex," extremely desirable. Just like drugs and, drinking when you can't have it, most want it more. Maybe if we didn't put so much into one word we wouldn't have so many problems centered around it. It is funny that even within something like sex, communication is the key. Learning that having a partner, listening and, respecting each other is the most important maybe we wouldn't have prostitution etc... However, the only part I judge is the abusive part and, hurting people. If people actually enjoyed what they are doing like a porn star or a call girl there is no judgement on my part. I judge the people who try to own the person, not respecting them and, taking someones life away. Trafficking is absolutely wrong, having a pimp etc... The Brazilian Call Girl which is based on a true story went full circle and, she ended up writing about her experiences on a blog. Her blog was so popular she was able to charge high for clients but, it ended up going all wrong. I do not think women can handle being paid to have sex. I think they can't separate their life from their other life which is why they end up turning to drugs. I would like to do a bit more research into this and, see why men and, women's psyche are so remarkably different.
