This is the start of my series "Waste Not, Want Not." I was inspired by a company I found on instagram and, I thought I would share it with you all. What if I told you that all of your plastic forks, cups and, plates that you use for parties are ruining the beautiful environment around you. If you found bio-degradable plastic ware, would you switch to it? Repurpose does all of this by making their plastic ware 100% compostable, free of chlorine, soy-based ink and, 3-4X Less CO2 ( which reduces your carbon footprint as well as, waste). Within 90 days of using your plastic-ware it becomes bio-degradable which means you won't be contributing to the massive landfills. I talked about future generations who may live in an environment of pure garbage because we are not using environmentally friendly items. The items are cut resistant, BPA-Free and, heavy duty. There are 16 billion disposable coffee cups purchased in America every year with 4 billi0on pounds of CO2 released into the atmosphere when producing these cups. This information is based on paper cups which have a plastic lining on the outside which makes it impossible for the cups to be recycled. Paper and cardboard produce 40% of solid waste in our landfills. Imagine the impact the disposable cups are having on the entire earth. Repurpose is available on Amazon to purchase and, is an incredible choice for helping our environment become a better place to live.
I have been putting together my style and, what I need for my capsule
wardrobe Of course, I do not want to purchase right away because I am
currently losing weight and, I don’t want to search again for the
clothes and, spend more money. I am looking on Poshmark and, a few other
places but, the search continues for sustainable, ethical and,
affordable clothing. I think I will be hitting up some second hand
shops because I am on a tiny budget. Now that I have my style for the
fall and, I know what I need I am on the hunt. July has been a busy
month and, to make it busier I am starting my Capsule wardrobe ebook
and, of course my vegan food ebook. I don’t know what I am naming either
one of them but, I am so excited! I will keep you updated when I find
all my clothing for my capsule wardrobe and, on both of my ebooks.
Have an enlightening and adventurous day,
So, I have been sick for about a week now and, today I realized, "hey you have essential oils why not use them." I got out my three essential oils that I brought with me and, one of them happens to be eucalyptus. I am studying a book on essential oils and I went to the page, " The Respiratory System," withing that Eucalyptus is used for expectorants and, antiseptics. Did I hit the gold mine or what? I read that inhaling this essential oil was the best way to use it but, I also, put it on my chest, back, and, temples. This is about to be a " Too much info" session so, if you are squeamish do not read on. I coughed up a mucus plug immediately. It actually works! Then I boiled hot water and, put in ginger, cinnamon and, raw honey. Yes, I used honey, I have a debate in my head almost all the time if I should be consuming honey because it comes from an animal, it is taken away from the bees, and, spikes the bodies insulin levels. Because I only use honey on occasion I decided today was the day to use it if I wanted to try to cure myself in a more natural way. I avoid honey almost all the time and replace it with agave but, it is the only exception from my list when it comes to being vegan. Honey, has amazing healing proprieties that I only use when I am very sick. Ideally, I would not use honey at all and, have the bees just have access to their honey but, I did not want to take an antibiotic. I thought the honey thing needed an explanation especially when I take the planet, animals so seriously as a vegan. Right now I am feeling a lot better and, I wish I had realized that I had the eucalyptus sooner. I did use unnatural medicines this week and, I would like to look into holistic/natural alternatives for them so, if you know of any please let me know in the comments below. I have been using nasal decongestant, cough medicine, ibuprofen, benadryl, and, mucus relief medicine. Of course, I did not take these all at once nor did I take them in the same day. I have used one or two of them together throughout the course of the week. I did take nasal decongestant this morning and, a little cough medicine as I am having a meeting and, do not want to cough all over while in it. However, I did not use the mucus relief medicine and, the eucalyptus acted in the same way it would have. It is so important to get back into a natural way of living and, I would like to get rid of my intake of medicine filled with chemicals unless, it is necessary. I am forward thinking with my approach to natural medicine yet, I am not ignorant to the fact that we may need some medicines that aren't natural to help us get better. Hearing stories about vegans who became so pure thinking that they refused to drink water because it wasn't pure enough and, then died from dehydration reminds me that there is a happy medium when it comes to being vegan and, I am glad I am not an extremist who can't see what they are doing is actually killing them. I am not a doctor or medical profession i am just studying up on a better way to help myself through life when I fall ill. Moving into a new direction I am so thrilled to be studying up on hacks and, green living so I can bring you my series very soon. Please stay tuned for that as well as both of my ebooks which will be out sometime in the early fall. I have a lot of work to do for you all and, I am beyond thrilled. I am studying up on essential oils because I will be coming out with a lotion line by late fall just in time for the holidays! So little time an, so much excitement!
Have an enlightening an adventurous day,
It seems "Virginia Is For Lovers," at least when it comes to me and
their real estate. This week is focused on affordable housing, because,
lets face it, most of us are not millionaires. The house you are about
to see has a quirky exterior with a gem of an interior. The inside of
the house was not as I expected it to be at all; it is modern, open,
with great lighting. This house is a perfect one to own given its unique
These 3 bedrooms' and, 3 baths' were meant for outdoor lovers' who will
drive their boat in the marinas. It is placed on 2 acres with a
community pooled just around the corner. The plus to a community pool is
that you don't have to deal with the maintenance of
your own pool, which gives you much more time for that boat of yours.
Your porch is in need of some sweet tea and lounging of course, done by
you. I know porches always get me so, I thought I'd include something
from the original listing, "12 x 15 Screened Porch with lovely natural
views over the headwaters." One patio and, an enclosed porch is amazing especially if you want to have family over for
a big dinner outdoors and, don't want to get eaten up by bugs.
This is one of my favorite rooms because it not only, has some of the coolest doors but, it has a fireplace. A fireplace is so important for a home, at least for me, because it gives it an extra cozy feeling. The house has creek views, a master bedroom with a walk-in space, storage space, and a car port. If a garage is important to you, I don't see why you couldn't build one especially with 2 acres.
The kitchen area is serene and, it seems to open onto the back screened in patio. I enjoy when a kitchen has space for bar stools as well as, a little table for your family to enjoy their meal although, I would be on the patio in the summer and, by the fireplace in the winter but, that's just my preference.
I thought for the last photo I would show the only picture the include out of the three bedrooms. I would have to see all of the bedrooms to compare but, I enjoy this space as it is one of the most important spaces. My bedroom is my space to work, wind down, and curl up with a book so, I think your connection and vibes should be strong when choosing your space. If you do not have good vibes and, purchase a home there will always be something not right with it remember to go with your gut.

Today I was going through Pinterest and, looking through all of the hacks because I am coming up with a series, shocker haha. I noticed myself looking at re-purposed clothing, green living and, how to live with zero waste. Yes, I am so excited to make this year a zero waste year, everything will not go to waste! Being a eco-friendly, vegan and, sustainable lady I have been searching for ways to put down my wastefulness and, learn to become waste free. I will be researching for the next couple of months how to live a waste free lifestyle and, then writing about it here on my blog and, of course putting it into a series on my YouTube Channel. I have yet to decide whether I will be focusing these series' on forever seeking wanderlust or allie vLuv; we shall she which it fits the best. So my hacks series should be starting in August which gives a little more time to round them all up pre-write and, pre-film. I will also, be writing my capsule wardrobe ebook and, my vegan recipe ebook. This are exciting yet, busy times in which I have a ton of writing to do. I hope you are all looking forward to all of these new series' because I am!
